School started...boo!

Zoe is now 6 months and 1 week or like 27 weeks old! She weighs almost 17 pounds and is almost 27 inches tall! She loves to watch: Word World, Smurfs, Barney (but don't tell daddy), Ni Hao (Kai-lan), and Little Einstiens! Her favorite show is still Word World, but I am starting to notice she is paying almost as much attention to Ni Hao!

She is still practicing to sit but not quite yet! I will see if her home daycare can have her practice in the day time also while we are at work, since we only see her like 3-4 hours on weeknights:-(

She rolls and scoots all over our living room floor! She moves her toys however she wants and can pull herself out of the car seat or anything if unstrapped and unmonitored! lol! We completely understand why there are so many baby things with straps!

She loves to nurse, and also eat homemade brown rice cereal and sweet potatoes! Next week we will be trying maybe peas, squash, or bananas! We are testing things at home so we can have a menu going for her home daycare! Then we can supply the healthy yummy homemade food for her to eat! It feels awesome that we can make her food and know that there are no added ingredients or sitting on a shelf at a store! I am so excited to explore making food!

Mommy got to run with baby Zoe again! We ran last week 7.25 miles and this week 8 miles pushing her billion pound stroller! It was fun and motivating! There were hills and we conquered them! I am thinking of pushing her next week too, then daddy can get more practice without it! I am going to try and push her for 10 or 12 miles September 10th... staye tuned!

Mommy going to work, getting baby girl ready for daycare. I love onesie from Grandma Lori!
I am such a happy baby!

This is me posing and trying to watch tv right at I woke up from a nap! See my new pierced ears!

I love this picture of her!

I love this one too!

Cutie pie lauging!
This is what happens when "WORD WORLD" comes on and she is being lazy, not wanting to turn her body. It is so funny to watch! Guess she will be flexible. It is like an exorcist move!

Trying on my new hat from Yellowstone Park that Mr. Spencer got me and being cute doing it! I am also sporting my new pjs from Mary! Thank you, I love them! I had to take a picture because of how adorable she looked!

See how cute she is!

Quality time with daddy.
Yummy brown rice cereal! Do you like my outfit? It is my wearing pj shirt, wearing rainbow leggings, wearing mommy's shirt, and a bib look! It's cuz I am GT/TAG! Teachers will understand that statement! ha ha ha
I love staring at the camera now! Or maybe it is mommy that I like to look at?
We took a lot of pictures in this unmatched pj outfit! I am starting to think this was on the day we wore pjs all day... Zoe loves to watch anything displayed on electronic devices: cell phones, tvs, i pads, tvs, and computers! It actually looks like she is engaged with whatever is on the screen. Mommy are you still over there?

To answer her question... Look at that face! I just want to kiss it all over!
Zoe,

I love you with all my heart! Thank you for each and everyday with you! Thank you for all your smiles, laughs, kisses, and hugs! I love how you greet me each and every morning and evening! I love how excited you get when you see me! It's amazing and heart warming, as if you haven't seen me all day or as if you are seeing me for the first time everytime! It makes me feel so wonderful inside and I love it so much! Keep growing healthy and learning all tha tyou can at your own pace!

Love, Mommy

6 MONTHS OLD!

Happy 1/2 a year Birthday! Here is my favorite picture from August 14, 2011. I wrote all the details of the last week after all the pictures! Enjoy seeing our baby girl grow and then read below from August 10-14th! Zoes new play area! Costco had the perfect mat for $19:-)

Uncle Jeffrey, I have not seen you in a while! Good morning, it's my 1/2 bday!

I made red velvet cupcakes with creamy vanilla icing all from scratch! They came out so yummy!

Shoes lasted like 2 minutes:-) The flower lasted like 20 minutes:-) She posed for her pictures, so there are a few below!

Here is the second toy we have bought her! Every month at payday, we take her shopping for a new learning toy! This one was a hit with all the babies at the house!

Zoes God Mommy Janene holding baby Gillian (she is almost 12 weeks here) I have known Zerique for over 5 years... I think this is our first picture! How wonderful it's with our baby girls playing! I hope they grow up together and are best buds!

Zaelynn so cute! Zoe is probably wondering why she has the balls in her hands... ha ha ha!

Where did all the balls go?

All the boys outside drinking some bottled water, grilling, and enjoying the nice hot sun! They also played with a sprayer thingy to get rid of all the wasps! Yummy, "mum mums!"

ZOE GRACE MENCHEY- just turned 1/2 a year Sunday August 14th! She has her 6 month doctor appt. Friday August 19th. She had three shots and blood drawn. She did so great! She weighed 16 pounds and 12 ounces and is 26.75 inches long! She is doing so awesome!

Right after the appointment we took her for her ear piercing! She cried for like 10 seconds and then starting smiling and laughing! I think it was harder for me then her!

Now back to her 1/2 a year celebration... Last year we celebrated with Zerique and Dereck for Zaelynns 1/2 birthday. SO this year we thought we would start a first 1/2 birthday tradition. We celebrated by having some good friends and family over! It was nice! I made some red velvet cup cakes from scratch along with some creamy vanilla icing from scratch as well! I think they came out awesome, considering there are no more left!

Daddy got his dream grill using earned bonus money from school to cook us some yummy hamburgers and corn! It was so perfect! Here are all the wonderful people that came to celebrate with you Zoe:

Mommy and Daddy

Grandma Rhonda and Uncle Jeffrey

Zerique, Dereck, and Zaelynn

Aunt (cousin) God Mother Janene

Mary, Chris, and Gillian

Mrs. Chambers and Jeremiah

Thank you all for coming!

I can not believe it has been 1/2 a year. It really feels like yesterday she was in my tummy or just 6 pounds and not 16. Time has flown! It makes me so sad to think soon she will be running around and then boom... off to college. I will try to hold on to all the memories and be the best mommy I can be!

I love you Baby ZOE!!!! Love, Mommy

Summer Vacation is finally over....BOO!

My baby girl has been going to daycare for the last 3 weeks and officially starts 5 days a week daycare August 15. Summer is over and it makes me sad! I wish it could be just a few weeks more. Baby Zoe is starting to grow more and more. She is rolling and scooting all over the place! She can sit for 30 seconds to a minute or so at a time! She is 25 inches long, weighs 16 pounds and 3 ounces, and is sleeping in her crib in her own room! We even made her some brown rice cereal with our food processor and have been feeding her it once a night for the last two weeks almost!

Every now and then she wakes up in the middle of the night around 3, 4, or 5 in the morning... if she can't be rocked backed to sleep or is hungry then she ends up back in our room! I am all right with that because I know she is only this small once. I need to take advantage of every moment possible!
In these last few weeks we got another visit from Grandpa Joseph, put the rest of our patio together, went to the Zoo one more time, ran some more, and basically hung out with baby girl as much as possible! Below you will find all of the captured moments of our precious gift from God above! I hope you enjoy seeing her grow with each picture you see!

I love this face!

Who made this baby so happy?

Can I eat this?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! He bought this for her when he found out we were having a girl! He has a hard time taking pictures with his eyes opened... so her are how many pictures we tried! Notice how baby girl is smiling and grinning in all of them. Also, notice how some of them they are making the same face! Like Daddy Like Daughter!

Wow look at this toy... I want to play with it!

She is addicted to this air water fish tha ther Great Grandma Judith gave to her!
She likes to lick it and bite on it. It is so funny to see!

Being cute with mommy!

Probably the cutest picture ever!

Such a technology freak! I paused the show, "Word World!" She got all mad... it was funny! I love my baby girl!

Happy Baby in her car seat!

Goofy playing with her activity thingy while wearing her apple bottoms outfit...lol

Momma this is how it is going to go.... I like how she is pointing and sucking her thumb...

Baby girl went to her cardiologist to check her heart murmur. She is doing good with it sitting at the 2.7-3.0mm. She was such a good patient on this day!

We went to visit Mary and Baby Gillian! She let Zoe watch word world! Zoe loved it!

Thanks Gillian for letting me wear these sunglasses! "I wear my sunglasses...!"

Can we just go already?

Mommy take more pictures, I am posing!

Daddy, why do you always make weird faces... you are ruining the picture! I look awesome in all mine!

Thanks for all the hard work on our patio! Here are the pictures:

If you look closely you can see her footprints in the concrete! It took 4 tries! She was trying to play in it and grab it...lol! So they had to kind of fix it 3 times!

The very next day we went swimming! Baby Gillian got to go to!

Grandpa, "I love you so much! Thank you for coming and visiting me!"

Zoe gave Gillian her swim suit... so Zoe was just in a diaper here... look how full her diaper is... She really did have a swim suit but she went swimming a little bit earlier so it was wet still!

Just hanging out with Gillain! I love how Gillian is smiling!

Let me read to you Gillian!

Wow... how come she is made of toys?

Does she squeak? Let me climb on and see...

Isn't that my pacifier?

Just chiling in my overalls!

Simetimes I get cranky and I have to see the fishies to calm me down.

Seriously mom... more photos!

Sippy cup trial....

I do better at an angle on my back....

I love having my feet up in the air.

It is way too early for pictures.

My first food! Homemade brown rice cereal!

Yum and weird at the same time...

I am pooped....

Second trip to the Zoo! Happy Baby! Our last Tuesday before working the next day.

Big Turtle

She loved the birds!

Give me more nector!
